Tirhatuan Wetlands

Tirhatuan Wetlands

A lovely, bright, harvest time day carried me to Tirhatuan Wetlands Conservation Reserve in Rowville. It is arranged off Stud Road and is north west of Rowville Lakes Golf Course. It isn’t to be mistaken for Tirhatuan Park, which is south of the fairway. I entered from Police Road and stopped toward the finish of Mindara Avenue, where there is an entry to the recreation area.

This walk was a remarkable experience! I got a little lost and wound up strolling six kilometers, with somewhat to and fro around the lake. The lake way itself is very short, yet I wound up strolling around a few close by roads too, to give myself a more extended walk.

Beginning around the lake, I strolled as far as possible and battled to see a sign appearance me where I was, which was the place where I ended up being befuddled. There was a guide and sign where I entered, however different doorways didn’t have any sigange.

You can see by the image of the course I took, utilizing Map my Walk on my telephone, that I did a ton of to and fro. I was likewise somewhat befuddled on the grounds that I was talking to a companion on the telephone and was somewhat occupied. I wound up strolling across a raised boulevard type grass way that had been newly cut. Toward the finish of this way I understood I was at the rear of the fairway. Subsequent to checking my area on Google Maps, I worked out where I was and refocused.

Taking a gander at my guide, and not being drained, I wandered further and strolled along Illawarra Avenue until I reached the end. I thought there was a hold there, yet I was somewhat tossed in light of the fact that a great deal of workers and apparatus was working nearby. I had a little visit to a caring man working close by and he let me know I could traverse, just to be aware of the laborers. So I wandered on along the way toward the finish of Illawarra Avenue. There is a dam divider that crosses Dandenong Creek, close to where Dandenong and Corhanwarrbul Creeks blend. Following on from that point I joined Dandenong Creek trail on the opposite side.

I was aware of the way that I wouldn’t effortlessly have the option to stroll back to my vehicle or do a circle since I was on the opposite side of Dandenong Creek. To do a circuit of both the wetlands and Tirhatuan Park I would have needed to walk a few kilomteres back on to Stud Road to get back around. By and large I presumably ought to have begun the opposite side, however at that point I wouldn’t have tracked down the dam or the wetlands. Also I really do like a secret walk! I will do the Dandenong Creek trail and Tirhatuan Park some other time. I strolled to where Royal Oak Court meets the opposite side of Police Road prior to pivoting and strolling back.

I strolled back along the dam divider, crossing the brook again and afterward chose, since I wasn’t drained at this point, that I would turn left and continue to walk. I strolled along the path that neglects the other Tirhatuan Wetlands region and strolled through an easement that hinted at George Knox Drive. I was currently strolling along rural roads. With a generally long walk it tends to be great some of the time to split it up a bit, and it felt strolling along here that I was on my third stroll for the afternoon! There was a sensibly steep slope that I climbed and I appreciated checking out the huge homes concealed in here. I did a circuit up to Seebeck Road and back down to Illawarra Avenue, where I had first left the wetlands. It was great to have an appropriate trail under my feet for some time.

When I arrived at the recreation area again close to the wetlands entrance I strolled back to my vehicle to head home. There is a great jungle gym settled in here, so on the off chance that you have little kids you could without much of a stretch join a more sensible short stroll around the lake with a play at the jungle gym. I presume this is a jungle gym to a great extent simply known to local people, so a lot of space to play or sit. This was a truly charming walk and I will surely return and investigate this region some more.
