A Financial COACH Success Story

When Linda first began working with Financial COACH she had difficulty managing her budget. She spent her entire income from Centrelink every week, and had no savings. She was unable to limit her shopping habits and would spend money on things she didn’t really need or even used.

With the guidance by her coach, Linda has learned to discern between wants and needs and think about her choices prior to making purchases on things that aren’t essential. Many times, Linda will choose not to purchase something that isn’t necessary and has helped her get control of her money.

After completing a budget with her coach, Linda discovered that she could cut back on shopping expenses. Her mentor guided her to think about ways to reduce her expenses. Linda discovered that she was buying additional or expensive products because of the ways they were presented at the grocery store. She made the decision to create an annual budget for each week. She currently shops on the internet, which allows her to keep a tighter rein on what she buys and helps her remain within the budget she has set.

The adjustments Linda changed her ways of shopping has enabled her to save money to cover unexpected bills and to purchase Christmas gifts that her family members will appreciate.
